Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Early Careers Tracker (“we”, “us”) collects when you use earlycareerstracker.co.uk, why, and what we do with it. Questions or requests: earlycareerstracker@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and, if you choose one, a password (stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider, Supabase). We also keep your name if you give it to us.
Google sign-in: if you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your basic profile with us: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We only request Google’s basic sign-in permissions (OpenID, email and profile). We don’t get access to your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
Purchases: when you buy a tracker, Stripe sends us your email address, your name (if given), the product, the amount paid and Stripe payment references. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout and are never sent to or stored by us.
Your trackers: which trackers you have access to, and any application statuses you choose to save (for example “Applied”).
Emails: your weekly-update preference, a private unsubscribe link, and a record of which emails we have sent you.

How we use it

To create your account, sign you in and give you access to the trackers you bought.
To send emails that are part of the service: your welcome email with access details, password-reset emails and the weekly updates of new roles. Every weekly update has a one-click unsubscribe link.
To answer your support requests.

Google user data (your name, email, profile picture and Google account ID) is used only to sign you in and identify your account. It is not sold, not shared with anyone else, not used for advertising and not used to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Where it’s stored and who processes it

Supabase: our database and sign-in provider, where your account, purchase and tracker data are stored.
Stripe: processes payments.
Netlify: hosts this website. Like any web host, it handles technical request data such as IP addresses.
Google (Gmail): sends our emails, through our own email automation server.

We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t share it with anyone except these providers, who handle it only to run the service. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your sign-in session, so you stay signed in.

Deleting your data

To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account and data, email earlycareerstracker@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We’ll confirm once it’s done. We may keep a minimal record of purchases where the law requires it (for example, for tax). You can also unsubscribe from weekly updates at any time using the link in any update email.

If we change how we use your data, we’ll update this page and the date above.
